Senior Computational Designer
At Heatherwick Studio, we believe in creating buildings, spaces and objects that stir curiosity - works of art that people can live, move and think within. We’re now looking for a Senior Computational Designer to help us shape and realise our most complex ideas. Someone who can bring clarity, logic, rigour and delight to challenging geometries and ambitious forms.
You’ll be the person who loves the challenge of making the extraordinary buildable. Working closely with designers, consultants and fabricators, you’ll rationalise complex geometries into elegant, efficient systems. Ensuring that what begins as imagination can stand, breathe and belong in the world.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has 8+ years of professional experience, with a strong focus on later-stage design and delivery.
- Brings deep expertise in computational tools (Grasshopper, Rhino, Python, Revit interoperability, etc.) and thrives in the technical and creative crossover.
- Is meticulous with detail, fluent in coordination, and confident communicating across disciplines.
- Feels energised by the problem-solving side of architecture and transforming the abstract into the precise.
This role would suit a technically-minded designer who finds beauty in both the concept and the connection detail. Someone who delights in solving puzzles that turn vision into reality.
If you see computation as a bridge between art and engineering, and you want to help us bring ideas to life at every scale, we’d love to hear from you.
